Big Kids Music Tour, part of Mile High Music on Tennyson Street in northwest Denver, is featuring guitar. Ms. Melissa leads a group of eager pickers in exploration of musical timing, strumming and of course dancing. Participants each have their own guitar and learn through story, song and example. A highlight for the class is the “electric” guitar and amp which of course features DISTORTION!! As always the class will end with a season finale for parents and family.
Big Kids Music Tour is a four-part adventure through music and song. The classes follow a rotating schedule of drums, keyboards, guitar and voice.
Fall has begun and with it a new semester at Mile High Music‘s Big Kids Music Tour. This stop on the tour features keyboards and what class would be complete without a giant keyboard you can jump and dance on. Ms. Melissa leads this group of eager young musicians through movement, stories and play to understand that a love for the keyboard is not just black and white.
I had the opportunity to get back into a second Big Kid Music Tour Drum class last week. Miss Melissa was introducing the snare drum and everyone was very excited to experiment with the snazzy sounds of the snare. Another great day and more great images.
If you happen down Tennyson Street on a Wednesday afternoon you may be walking to the beat of a different drummer or drummers as the case may be. Mile High Music holds their Big Kids Music Tour at their facility in the north Highlands neighborhood. This class is focusing on drums and the group of 5-10 year old are definitely finding their rhythm and beating up a storm. Miss Melissa, their instructor leads this enthusiastic crew as they explore, learn, dance and beat their way through each class.
Please note that this is a drop off class and parents may only enviously watch the fun from the waiting room.
