Plus Size BMX has teamed with SE Bikes, Joe’s Bike Shop, Black Market Bikes, VP Components and Pryme Protective Gear to create a series of fantastic clinics teaching young riders the fundamentals of racing, street and park riding. The clinics are hosted along Colorado’s front-range and take advantage of the many great places to ride here. Led by local pro-rider Mike Murfitt Jr., each clinic focuses on safety, rider etiquette and fun.
A recent trip to County Line BMX featured racing technique. Participants learned starts, cornering, rhythm and especially speed in this fun and safe environment. Stay tuned for other features from these great clinics.
On a very hot and sunny Saturday afternoon in the parking lot of Joe’s Bike Shop a new crew maneuvered through cones, learned to manual, worked on their bunny hops and finally got a chance to ride “the box”. If all of this terminology is familiar to you then you must be the proud parent of a Gromet…..or as stated on the Gromspot homepage, “Someone who is young and has skills or A youngin’ who shreds.”
Plus Size BMX, Joe’s Bike Shop and GromSpot came together to host a great opportunity for some local Groms to develop their fundamental biking skills in a fun and safe environment. Instructors Chris Olivier and Mike Murfitt Jr. taught participants the importance or rider etiquette and how to support each other as they learned some new moves.
I had the opportunity to get back into a second Big Kid Music Tour Drum class last week. Miss Melissa was introducing the snare drum and everyone was very excited to experiment with the snazzy sounds of the snare. Another great day and more great images.
Once again, I have had the opportunity to put my photo skills to use to back an unbelievable cause and have a good time doing it. MyLifeLine.org hosted a Derby Bash in Denver that would rival even the party at Churchill Downs. The event was an opportunity to dress to the nines, down some delicious Juleps and to support an organization that is more than worthy. MyLifeLine.org creates free websites for people suffering from cancer and has a very straightforward directive.
“Our mission is to empower patients to build an online support community of family and friends to foster connection, inspiration, and healing.” -MyLifeLine.org
The event was held at the fabulous Four Seasons, Denver and went off without a hitch due to the efforts of an amazing volunteer planning committee directed by Sheri Muilenburg of The Avia Group and her co-chair Diedre Wooden.
Please visit the MyLifeLine.org website to learn more about what Founder, Marcia Donzinger and her dedicated crew are doing to help make a trying time more bearable for everyone effected.
